rule 001. this blog is always low activity. i don't write daily nor am i a fast replier when it comes to threads. i have multiple blogs and consider this a hobby, so i will not be treating it as a job. don't pressure me to answer things. a reminder here and there is fine, but i do not appreciate a daily reminder or feeling rushed. i treat everyone and everything with a no rush policy. rule 002. i don't anticipate too many triggers appearing on this blog, besides dora's pill addiction, but that and any others that come up will be tagged. my triggers include pregnancy, chainmail asks, and suggestive/smutty/nsfw content. for general formatting, I do not do fancy tags, nor do I really format my posts other than some bold and italics here and there. I do small text on occasion to match my partner's. rule 003. i enjoy memes/asks and think they are good icebreakers and can be used to guide plotting. send as many as you'd like and don't be scared to send some. my slowness does not equal disinterest. plotting is optional, as i know it can be difficult to do off the bat if some muses aren't from the same franchise/fandom. however, i do try my best to plot when the time comes and find it enjoyable when muses really click. i would like to plot any action-heavy threads, just so I can have a bit of an idea of how to approach the situation. it doesn't have to be in-depth, but a little guidance is beneficial to me.

rule 004. i'd rather personal blogs not follow or reblog my content. if you have a roleplay sideblog, i will be more inclined to follow if it is clearly stated on your blog that you have one and it is linked on a pinned post. i'm selective in the way that i reserve the right to choose who i wish to follow and interact with. do not attempt contact if i've especially hard blocked you, my comfort and boundaries are not up for negotiation. rule 005. i love shipping of all kinds and wish to develop a number of unique relationships between our muses. don't force a ship onto me, especially not a romantic one. i only write smut with those i am close with ooc and am comfortable with. that aside, i adore pre-established relationships of any kind. if you ever have an idea for one, please pitch it because i love developing them. rule 006. mun does not equal muse. i'm a stickler for open communication and would rather talk out conflict than let it fester and ruin a friendship. please speak up if i've forgotten to tag something, if my wording or tone came off as wrong/weird to you, etc. i will gladly explain myself or take accountability where needed.

PERSONALITY tired, just tired. despite that, dora continues to try to be peppy as ever. perhaps it's the coffee or 'pep pills' she's been taking to try and stay sane, but they seem to do anything but keep her head on straight. she's got too many problems to lose her job, so she is a huge fan of the fake it 'till you make it strategy. her famous (if a bit manic) smile keeps the public well informed without letting them know things are terribly wrong underneath. coworkers don't bat an eye as long as she doesn't shake too much. even so, she's got erratic behavior, coming off as too blunt or even mean some days. dora is known as being strange, but most shrug it off for various reasons.

APPEARANCE dora often has wild, curly hair that varies in color, tending to be either red or blonde. her fashion is eccentric, standing out among her coworkers and contributing to her unique image as an anchor.

biography dora smarmy used to be extra ambitious in life, even wanting to be a ballet dancer as a child. that was before she found out she had two left feet. she doesn't remember much about college, somewhat surprised she even got through it with how much of a blur it is. she couldn't say it was partying, she recalls that much, but she has an inkling that it was the incident that caused a poor memory.if you've never heard the myth of a penny falling from, say, the empire state building killing someone, you might not be prepared for the idea of half a roll of pennies being dropped onto someone's head. that was dora's fate one morning as she was rushing to her job at the local news station. she certainly didn't die, but she suffered a nice concussion that she had to get a doctor's note for. it was that incident that she considered a curse, because why else would it happen to her?dora soon after began having prophetic visions and dreams, something that slowly started to plague her daily. at first, she tried to indulge them so she could get them out of her head, but eventually, she grew so jaded that she'd do anything to just ignore them. that's where her dependency on pills comes from, begging nearly every doctor she could to get her on some kind of prescription to 'fix' the issue.for now, she's the shining exemplary news anchor, delivering news with tact and ease. she wonders how long that'll last, however, and she finds herself having to give into the visions every so often just to stop them from drowning out her hearing or clouding her seeing. the effects have started to get really physical, something she hasn't anticipated. but hell, did she really not see that coming?

PERSONALITY upbeat, charismatic, and fun, johnnie was created to be the perfect radio host. he adores engaging with the audience, often coming up with new nicknames for them each time he opens his segment for the night. he enjoys playing around with different personas, such as being a weather girl or sports announcer, doing different voices for each. he's usually very goofy and cheerful, yet also passionate about music and his job. however, he is quite naive, as he has spent nearly his entire life in the kbox station. he has no clue that he is a robot, despite it not being a very well-hidden secret. wearing his heart on his sleeve, he's quite the hopeless romantic... as much as a robot can be.

APPEARANCE Upon first glance, Johnnie looks and sounds naturally human. Friendly and inviting hazel eyes (usually hidden behind cat eye style sunglasses given in an attempt to make him fashionable and cool), perfectly coiffed short black hair, the cutest ears that stick out just a bit. His nose is straight/Greek in appearance, his skin a lovely warm beige with just a hint of a faux pink undertone to give them some life, eyelids that really blink, and pink lips that can stretch into a smile. His eyebrows are styled to be neat and not too thick or thin, eyelashes plentiful to accentuate his eyes. Upon a closer inspection, you’d notice that his skin is too smooth. No pores, no flaws. Upon touch, it has a silicone feeling to it. Lacking the proper eye muscles to move his eyes like a human, he must turn his head to change his vision’s direction.Johnnie is usually dressed in a suit, with the station wanting to harken back to his original time period while also keeping that cool and smooth demeanor. Colors may vary. He may appear in different outfits for marketing or advertisement purposes. Johnnie’s voice is raspy and charismatic, one you could listen to for hours. It’s casual, familiar, trustworthy. He can do many different voices, whether masculine or feminine, to fit whatever persona he needs to put on at the time. The ability to put on different voices is marketed as part of his entertainment factor.Johnnie can replicate emotions well, but there still remains a bit of an uncanny feeling. Smiles do not always reach his eyes, frowns may be overly exaggerated. It may take his face a few seconds longer than his tone to change emotions. He is not aware of these issues. Johnnie can only “feel” a few basic emotions: happiness, sadness, anger, fear, surprise, and disgust. Despite this, he's pretty much been programmed in the past to lessen the negative emotions from occurring. Lately, however, he believes he's been experiencing other emotions such as love, which he can only recognize from hearing about it through songs. He doesn't know how to word his other feelings as they are so new, but they’re something akin to excitement/amusement, embarrassment, and guilt.

biography originally created in 1958 as a prototype robot for musical entertainment, johnnie b. goode (named after the song), was left abandoned and unfinished due to lack of proper funding and investor interest. rediscovered years later in 1975, technology had progressed enough for work to resume on him and the stories in the papers and news garnered enough attention to warrant the project to move forward.originally just a robot that had to have prompts fed into him, johnnie depended on his caretakers and researchers to speak and move. he made a radio debut in 1979, where the scientists working on him decided that he would be a novel idea to put into use. jumpin' johnnie jumble was born, branded to keep his original 1950s flair, and programmed to have many different voices he could do. he was a hit, especially when the public learned that he was a robot and not a human just doing impressions.however, the work being put into maintenance and running him was becoming a bit much, so it was back to the drawing board for more ideas and research. eventually, the idea of artificial intelligence became more of a reality than just science fiction. it seemed an interesting concept, especially if johnnie could literally learn to do tasks on his own. over time, his appearance was updated to be more lifelike, his voice more human. he could walk, talk, and move without any help or excessive programmers.it was a marvel to have such technology abound, so johnnie was once again whisked off to kbox in 2000 for another test run after being taken back all those years ago. there were raving reviews, with support continuously rolling in. johnnie was a money maker, even if he tended to still jumble up what kind of music the station usually played. listeners enjoyed it, finding him refreshing and fun. and johnnie? he was starting to feel.he never questioned the commands and tasks given to him, even doing commercials and advertisements with the personas he came up with out of the blue. it was exciting for everyone, but sometimes he did wonder why he was kept in the station day in and day out. sure, he got to leave for press matters, but otherwise he was stuck there. it started to feel less and less like home, especially with how lonely he felt overhearing his coworkers speak about their outside lives.perhaps that's why after 24 years of being cramped up in the station, johnnie decided to venture out. maybe he'd come to regret it, as he had a lot to learn, but he wanted to see and experience the outside world just once.

APPEARANCE Sketch is often seen wearing a hat like a beret. when he can, he enjoys experimenting with fashion and accessories. he prefers comfortable clothes over anything stuffy or overly proper.

biography Dion scott grew up with a love for storytelling and poetry, listening to his mother and grandmother recount their own personal stories and being read to from books, newspapers, and magazines. a voracious reader and creative mind, he began to be known by the nickname sketch due to his tendency to create drawings based off of his favorite stories and poems. he felt deeply connected to what he read and had heard in childhood, prompting him to seek out a career regarding creative endeavors.not only finding art to be a fun hobby and potential job, but he also found that it allowed him to express his emotions freely. while words conveyed feelings and messages, sometimes a picture helped make them more understandable or relatable to people. that was something he liked: relatability. he sought to make connections with others, often visiting art museums or poetry readings just to be around others in a creative setting.sketch's fledgling career started by selling various small pieces in local cafes and coffee shops. he started to find some success, finding even more when he was able to make a public name for himself by appearing in art shows, art crawls, and sketching people or crafting pieces in public. people grew fond of him, and he felt good having a community that cared about his process and the unique results that came from it.truth be told, he'd always struggled with social anxiety, but he found that slowly being around people helped him come out of his shell. in fact, he'd made great friends and connections from his attendance at local festivals and poetry slams, some who even encouraged him to branch out into making his own poetry. so, he did, and he found enjoyment in it.nowadays, he likes to find new subjects and ways of creating, even starting to dabble in music. what's music if not a story set to instruments? his art nowadays tends to have messages in them, wanting people to think and even come up with their own personal meanings. if there's something he's learned, it's that just because you have eyes... it doesn't mean that you always see.
